Wanted- Windows 7 recovery CDs for 2 laptops- T60p/T400
Hi,
I have below these 2 laptops and need Win 7 recovery CDs.
T60p-2007-WUK Dual Core processor and 2Gb RAM.
I'm assuming I need a 32-bit version for this one.
T400-2767- Core 2 Duo with 2 GB ram.
I guess this will support a 64 bit version with additional RAM.
Please let me know a reasonable cost with shipping to Belgium.
Thanks

T60/T6p never had Windows 7 ex factory.
For machines that do, Europeans can get those from Lenovo in the Czech Republic: https://www.lenovorecovery.com/Extranet/PriceList.aspx

Got it about the T60p.
About the T400 I don't see an option to get English disks when I put in the specs with Win XP 32bit SP3.
If I however put Windows Vista Business 32bit SP1 I get a US English option? I would like that since my wife is American and prefers English.
Is that ok to do that to get the appropriate relative disk?
Thanks again

If I were to do a new, fresh, clean installation on a T60, there's no doubt in my mind what I would do: 1) Get me a copy of Windows 7 (quite cheap e.g. on eBay now that Win 8 has arrived), and especially: 2) Pop in a SSD in the T60 (see e.g. Adding an SSD to a T60) and you will be overly satisfied with your "new", life-prolonged T60!

Thanks Johan and Pianowiz. I think I'll do just that after all.
Yes I do have a valid COA for Win 7, 32 bought off ebay but that was originally a Dell OEM. Wonder if that will work?
But Thanks anyway. Will give the SSD and Win 7 a go.

Hi Johan,
Will this SSD work for the T400 (2767-31U)? Not sure because the description does not specify if its a SATA I II or III.

Re: Wanted- Windows 7 recovery CDs for 2 laptops- T60p/T400
Here's a description of your SSD from Newegg:
2.5" 180GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
• 2.5"
• 180GB
• SATA III
I have used SSD's in my previous T400's before passing them on to someone else to use -- absolutely worth the relatively small investment for upgrade in speed. All the machines in my signature are running on SSD's (smallest 128gb -- largest 256gb -- various makers = samsung, kingston, intel.) I keep the original HDD's as backup, but I wouldn't go back to running everyday on HDD -- love the SSD's
