Sold: Thinkpad T61 4:3, Win Vista, $150 shipped OBO

Hello!

I've gotten my hands on this very lovely, nice T61 4:3 that I've been using this past month for school on and off. I've mostly been using it for web-browsing, which I will definitely say suits it.

It's an 8897-02U, which according to Lenovo makes it an Intel-only, XGA-screened Merom-boarded 4:3 T61, and... that's exactly what it is. Pretty mediocre machine, however! In the time I've used it, I've given it a suitable cleanup, both on the inside and out, and I took the liberty of replacing the cruddy T5270 it had in it for a T7700, so it has a bit of extra go. That makes this thing a pretty sound web-browsing machine, with two gaping cores there to swallow up CPU load, it has 2GB of RAM which is sufficient for Vista/7, and the 3945ABG Intel Wi-Fi card.

It's XGA screen admittedly is a bit squelched for screen-estate, but it's still pretty bright and good in some situations, you'll definitely not be using the Zoom function in your browser that often. :) The screen has no blemishes or faults, and seems to be in 100% good condition.

The laptop currently boasts the all-original 120GB Hitachi Hard Drive, and the original Windows Vista installation freshly installed. It also has the recovery partition, so you can make recovery disks, and reinstall Vista if something goes wrong.

The condition is quite nice, I wouldn't call it mint... but it's definitely not been thrashed around in a 6 year old's backpack for a year between classes. Just see the pictures and have a look yourself. It's in pretty good condition, with some scuffs and marks, but mostly looks like new from a distance. There is some wear on the keys and palmrest, but it's been kept nice.

I have a 65W charger I'll include and I also have a Thinkpad bag to include, if you need one, for a bit extra. It's just a neato little accessory bag that very snugly fits the 15" widescreen Thinkpads. But the laptop and charger alone I'm asking $150 flat, over Paypal, I'll worry about shipping and fees. I am open to offers though. I still also have the original T5270- so if you want this laptop for less, and you kind-of want a lower-power T61, you can ask for me to switch the CPU if you're serious about buying.

Note-this is indeed the same 4:3 board that can be re-done into a 15" T60 chassis to produce a Frankenpad. Thanks to the marvel of the Middleton BIOS, it is also possible to boot up Penryn CPUs in this board, but PLEASE NOTE, for originality's sake I have not flashed Middleton BIOS on this board. So please don't try booting Penryn CPUs in it and complaining to me when it doesn't work.
Trying my hardest to collect Thinkpads, but college and being broke kinda gets in the way. However...
