Hey everyone:
How do you open a X240? I've loosened and/or removed the base screws per the Thinkpad PDF on
http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/product ... D=PD028889
but I can't get the base cover off completely. How much force does it take?
This is really weird - why is it so hard to take the cover off?
Thanks.
Mitchell

Just read an X240 review the other day...
Cheers.

There are probably some "tabs". Make some coffee and take your time. There are only eight Phillips-head screws securing the bottom cover to the base unit, but unlike the T440s, the clips on our X240 review unit were considerably harder to disengage. At a couple points we were concerned we might damage the unit, but with a bit of patience and care it eventually came off without a problem.
Cheers.

I have found a guitar plectrum to be most effective at freeing stubborn clips and catches...
