Do any one else have anything they find "museum worthy"? The Zeniths look like good candidates too.RealBlackStuff wrote:The oldest I have is a museum-worthy(?) original IBM floppy, 3.5"/720KB version with IBM DOS 3.30 Startup/Operating, P/N 80X0939.
Something rare, something old, something most people would have thrown away already, but you got one, and it works, it may even be in excellent condition.
I only have one such item I think, that is my ThinkPad 570 (the top model with XGA and PII 366MHz), it almost looks brand new, the lid has a few usage marks, but open it up and it looks completely unused, not a hint of shine anywhere, MINT!
Even the battery works and powers the unit for up to an hour I think (haven't tested that for a long time).
I'm hanging on to it, hoping that it will end up at a museum one day, I don't think there are a lot of 570's out there that haven't been used, extensively.
They where not cheap, so if people bought one, they'd buy it to use it, but it seems my 570 barely saw any use at all.
