Flashed Lenovo t61... I think
Hello all,
So I tried to flash the BIOS on my T61, What should the BIOS version be???
I think it worked because I'm on it after a restart but can't tell
Mine currently says its LENOVO7LETC9WW (2.29), 3/18/2011
Any help that could be spared would be most appreciated

Yep that sounds right. It's not going to say "Hey Boozo I got Middletoned!". If done properly, the BIOS screen will show exactly the same a Lenovo's 2.29 BIOS. If not then you have a nice bricked door stop. Have faith that you've done it right and enjoy.

Excellent upgrades. All my T61 have been upgraded in similar fashion. However, as I never need 8 GB RAM, I can't justify 2x4GB DDR2 RAM price. Like you I have a SSD main drive and 1 TB HDD in Ultrabay but for a couple of my T61, a 64 GB SSD is plenty for OS and programs install. Mind you considering the price of 120 GB SSD vs a 64 GB SSD, probably just as while got with the 120.greenroost14 wrote:Thank you... Next step t9300, 64bit OS, 8gb, RAM, 120gb ssd and 1tb HDD... Yeah I think I'll stick with 4gb as I will/can't game on it anyway. However, as I never need 8 GB RAM, I can't justify 2x4GB DDR2 RAM price.
