Zepto - Danish laptops (Pics)

#1 Post by Torque » Mon May 16, 2005 5:33 pm

Hello Thinkpad forums :D

Zepto, a small company recently started in Denmark (as far as I know) are increasingly popular i Denmark for their laptops. They offer excellent performance for your money. Sadly, the build quality of their most popular (and now obsolete) model, the 4200, isn't as good as some other leadings brands. But, taking the price tag in concideration, it's still a good bargain.

You can check out their models and prices at www.zepto.dk
The site is in Danish.

Now, they recently made a new ultra slim laptop. It's very small indeed. Spec's arent especially impressive, but the size of this thing as incredible. It retails for 2206.09USD, which is quite alot - but look at the size of this thing ! Note that this particular model is alot more expensive than Zepto's mainstream products.

I would like to hear people's opinions on these machines :)
If I didn't have the need for CAD/CAM applications, I would definately go for something as small as this. It's sweet.
BUT, I would at present time choose my trusty T41P any day :D

Btw, pardon the bad english. I don't use it enough

(I hope the pics are okay)

Interesting design... reminds me of Samsung or Sony. But I am still stuck in the mindset that a notebook should be businesslike, like a ThinkPad!
Homebuilt PC: AMD Athlon XP (Barton) @ 1.47 GHz; nForce2 Ultra; 1GB RAM; 80GB HDD @ 7200RPM; ATI Radeon 9600; Integrated everything else!

I feel the same way. Wouldn't be here if ti wasn't so :)

But if I (in theory) should ever part IBMs, it would propably be with a Zepto laptop. Simply because of the value>money factor.
