Ultrabay battery error in Windows

#1 Post by jayton4 » Wed Mar 12, 2014 6:29 am

I have 2 separate Lenovo OEM Ultrabay batteries that have quit working in my T420s and T410s when using Windows 7 64bit. The batteries will not discharge nor charge while in Windows. Power Manager reports "Battery Error" for battery 2.

If I boot into linux, they appear to work normally.

Any idea what could be going on here? I have ruled out everything that I can think of so far in my troubleshooting.

I have a total of five ultrabay batteries in all. I rotate them around and they see about 3-4 discharge/charge cycles per week each. The two that have quit working had low cycle counts and no wear (still had 32WHr Full Charge capacity).
