[SOLVED!] x230 Left click button issue

#1 Post by billygoat » Tue Mar 18, 2014 10:26 am

When using the trackpoint with the left/right/scroll keys, the left click button becomes unresponsive if you are also pressing any other key on the keyboard. Is this an issue with the current driver or is it a hardware problem with the x230?

I can't seem to recreate it. The button remains responsive no matter what I'm doing with the keyboard.

Very strange. One way I tested this issue was to click on the task bar to give it focus then hold the s(or any other letter) key then try to click on an icon for a window.

Can anyone else replicate the problem using the above method?

Edit:SOLVED So I figured out what the issue was. I was randomly wandering the settings of the laptop. BTW this is in Win 8. If you go to the metro app "PC Settings" under "Mouse and Touchpad" there is a drop down selection to delay any clicking after pressing on the keyboard. I guess the default setting was Medium Delay. Change it to no delay and that fixes the problem.
