Notebook Dock (Kensington)

#1 Post by Nomad-Man » Mon May 16, 2005 11:20 pm

Looking for some input as to what you guys think about this

http://www.kensington.com/html/6459.html

vs the Port Replicator or Mini Dock. Saw it at circuit city for around 80.00 dollars this weekend.

Im wondering what to get for my T. The Port Rep, the Mini Dock, or the one from kensington. Never had either one so all the help you can give me would help.
I do realize that the port rep and the mini dock will certaintly be smaller, but im not sure if im going to need to take it with me.

I have both mini dock and also the port replicator II
it's all depend on your need for USB devices...
mini dock has 4, replicator has 1

and the other differences is that mini dock uses it's own power brick vs. the port replicator uses the one that come with the notebook(some port replicator includes the ac adaptor, some don't).

personally I think port replicator is enough.. since you still have full uses of your regular USB port(s)

just my 2 cents
