0200 error on Z60m, still works after HDD installed.

Hello everyone.
I just got a Z60m that had that error come up at first boot.
Saw topics about the south chip going bad, needs a reball service then.
But it didn't have a hard drive and heck I put one in from a T61, it booted.
I don't remember coming across this on a T43p when it had an empty HDD bay.


Is the chip slowly going to die?

Maybe. Maybe not.

Z series machines are very unusual birds.

Personally, I wouldn't lose sleep over it.

I also wouldn't dump a ton on money into upgrading it.
