X1 carbon wqhd high resolution screen.

#1 Post by jedisurfer1 » Thu Apr 24, 2014 10:47 am

Hi I'm very interested in the super high resolution for the x1 carbon and was wondering how it looks on a 14" laptop. I've been using a sxga resolution a 12 inch x61t for some time and it doesn't look too small for me. I'd like the high resolution to run multiple virtual machines for work. I'd also need it to be capable of 12gb or 16gb of ram to run all my vm at once.

I have been looking at getting a X1 or X1 carbon (1st gen) and the maximum RAM either machine can take is 8 Gig. On the X1 Carbon the memory is soldered on the logic board. On the X1 there is a memory slot that you can use a 4 Gig or 8 Gig memory module.
