T43 will not boot

Folks, wife's T43 kicked off the am by not being able to type in open spaces, I tried to reboot and it gets half way and quits. Hard drive works fine in another machine. Could keyboard go bad out of the blue? Your thoughts

Do you have another keyboard to test the machine with?

AKJ, that I do, maybe the keyboard plug came loose although hard to imagine, tomorrow job, thanks
