hi folks, I'm wondering if anyone here has experience with the ThinkCentre desktops, circa the m90p series.
I've long thought my upgrade from my current x41 would be the x220, but in poking around I'm considering getting a desktop and keeping the x41 for travel.
How does the x220 stack up against the m90p? Performance-wise they seem about the same but I'd like some confirmation. The m90p looks quite a bit cheaper on eBay as you might expect.
x220 vs ThinkCentre m90p?

Re: x220 vs ThinkCentre m90p?
I guess that would depend on the specs for the machines and your needs, which you didn't say much about. The X220 will be more mobile and a big step up from your X41 performance wise, though it can't match the number crunching capability of a M90p with a quad core. I'd say if you're just doing typical usage like Office and internet, the X220 is a very nice machine and it can do the desktop thing with the dock.
