BIOS update prefrences Windows or CD

#1 Post by cadillacmike68 » Sat May 03, 2014 2:42 am

I've done lots of BIOS updates on T20 series and T30s but those were all from diskettes. What is the groups' thoughts and preferences on doing T61 BIOS updates - do it from within windows or burn the ISO to a CD and update it from the booted CD? Thanks in advance for your inputs.

I don't trust BIOS updates from within an OS so CD/floppy it is for me. The way I see it, updating from CD eliminates another layer (the OS layer) that could go wrong.
