I have a W7/Hackintosh dual boot system on my T510. The T510's BIOS was upgraded to 3rd party BIOS with White-list removed for non-Thinkpad Wi-Fi card support. Everything working fine but there's strange behavior of the T510: sometimes, when you reboot OS, after standard ThinkPad BIOS screen machine enters into the BIOS setup by itself AND after that, when you exit Setup, T510's BT module doesn't show up in W7/Mac OS X. The interesting thing is that I'm able to cure BT by booting with Ununtu 13 USB drive. The Ubuntu boot "CD" fixes the non-working BT module while booting. Looks like a miracle? Yes, but unfortunately Ubuntu is unable to fix the 1st part of the problem

Any ideas what's wrong with the BIOS? I'm not sure that this is backup battery. I can't downgrade to original BIOS back either - Mac OS X "ready" Wi-Fi card will not work.

Re: T510 reloads into BIOS/BT module problem
It seems rather obvious that you have a faulty BIOS.
Where did you get it from?
You should be able to go back to an older Lenovo BIOS, and then go up again to the newest Lenovo version.
Use a bootable CD rather than BIOS-update in Windows.

Unfortunately I don't remember exactly! Probably the modded BIOS is from here:

Re: T510 reloads into BIOS/BT module problem
Unless you load a Lenovo BIOS (or one from a renowned BIOS-modder), there's nothing much we can do for you here.
This forum does not 'make' modded BIOS versions, try

Re: T510 reloads into BIOS/BT module problem
Thanks! I'm gonna search this thread -- may be someone made a request on T510 modded bios with wite list removed already. I'll post update.
Re: T510 reloads into BIOS/BT module problem
I found necessary BIOS in mentioned thread:
Then I flashed back original Lenovo, removed Wi-Fi card, flashed Lenovo_T510_6muj31us_6MET92WW_NWL (WL only), installed card back. So far so good - no more entering in the Setup.

Look README to update. Please post results.
Re: T510 reloads into BIOS/BT module problem
The problem appeared again if AC adapter and battery are removed. Probably this is the same modded BIOS I flashed earlier or it's a hardware problem (I noticed 'read error' message before ThinkPad BIOS screen once)

Re: T510 reloads into BIOS/BT module problem
Might as well try replacing the backup battery, in that case.

Re: T510 reloads into BIOS/BT module problem
The source of the the problem was (what do you think?) Chameleon boot loader once I changed it with Clover everything is gone.
