T40p CF SSD?

#1 Post by pishta » Wed Jun 11, 2014 3:20 pm

Tried it with 2 PATA adapters and 2 different CF cards. None will boot. Winxp wont install to card, says no media to install to, linux will see it and install to it but wont boot from it. What am i missing? Both cards are older sandisk ultra 3 2GB and generic 2008 built 32GB one. I dont know if either are UDMA. I even used Win7 disk management to attempt to make it a bootable drive.

My fault, its a T40, not a T40p (if they even exist) I see everyone talking about T41's and higher, any physical difference?

Anyone have any good experience with a CF-ATA adapter> I need to know what cards are U-ATA or what pins I need to jumper on the adapter
