As much as I hate the idea of parting with this baby I really need to thin out my collection and I want this to go to someone who will preserve it and care for it.
This is king of the Z series, the highest performance model.
We got a fleet of these in from corporate some time ago this one stood out because it was in amazing condition. I believe it was never issued. When a fleet of laptops is retired from one of the major corporations it's not uncommon to get one or two that were never issued and spent their life sitting on a shelf. Any time I see examples like that I grab them and offer them in the forum. This one stood out like a sore thumb among 100+ well used laptops this one looked like it was never used at all, spotless inside and out and with a flawless LG Philips 1920x1200 screen. The only wear I saw on this was some very minor scuffs on the outer case from shipping, otherwise it looked like a brand new laptop. I've used it some over the past couple years and I've upgraded the CPU and ram.
In my opinion this is one of the best designed laptops of this era, anyone who has had any Z series will understand that they are special. Being the "p" version it has the best ATI FireGL graphics and the highest resolution screen. It was originally equipped with a T7200 cpu, now upgraded to T7600 which is the fastest supported processor, otherwise the laptop is completely original.
I've used it some over the last couple years but there still is virtually no signs of use. I'll add the model and specs when I have time and maybe some photos too, but thought I'd see if there was some interest from collectors here before I prepare it for sale.
I'm going to ask $350 for the laptop which will include harddrive and a working 9cell battery. If you need an AC adapter with it add $16 and shipping will be quoted by location.
I would really prefer this go to a collector as this girl has survived several years and still looks beautiful, but if someone wants to use it daily we can work a docking station into the deal to save it from wear n tear.
I'm also going to be listing her little sister, a Z61t with titanium lid, webcam, high resolution screen. These are the two elite Z series, the 15.4" powerhouse and the 14.1" beauty queen. Either or both would make a smart addition to any collection.
For the moment this is more of a "feeler", but if someone's interested I'm prepared to sell one or both of these babies.
[FS] A Classic in amazing condition Z61p
Re: [FS] A Classic in amazing condition Z61p
What OS are these running?
X200T, X201T, R400, T400, T500, M93P Tiny
Re: [FS] A Classic in amazing condition Z61p
These shipped with XP pro. The Z61p I believe still has the original drive, the Z61t has none but I can give you a drive with it. If you would like Vista I can include that. If you want Windows Seven home premium 64 I believe there is a copy available for $45 which will also work with 32bit.
