X201 and X201s motherboard compatibility

#1 Post by L29Ah » Sun Jul 13, 2014 5:31 am

My X201 died recently (it seems like there is a shorted circuit somewhere in the primary power supply circuit, a dead PMIC/MOSFET or so), so i wonder if i can buy a X201s motherboard on ebay and just replace the dead one with it. Any ideas?
Also does i5-520UM consume a lot less power while idling than i7-620LM? Too bad all the ULV i7 X201s's are gone.
