WITHDRAWN!my personal 15.4" T61, NVS140M, 08/10, *LOADED*
the basics:
ThinkPad T61 (6460-EFU)
T8100(2.1GHz)..........................................now T9300 (2.5GHz, 6MB L2 cache)
2GB RAM..................................................now 4GB (2x2GB)
160GB 5400rpm HD.....................................now 500GB/7200rpm
15.4in 1680x1050 LCD.................................now 15.4" 1920x1200 (LG Philips WUXGA, the brightest one I've ever seen)
128MB nVIDIA Quadro NVS 140M
CDRW/DVDRW
Intel 802.11agn wireless..............................now Atheros abgn (450 Mbps on my dual-band router, YMMV)
Bluetooth/Modem
1Gb Ethernet
UltraNav
Secure chip
Fingerprint reader
6c Li-Ion..................................................in "green", low cycles
WinVista Business COA
Middleton's modded BIOS installed
Genuine Lenovo 90W AC adapter included
I'm considering letting go of this one due to change in plans...let me make no bones about it: it is one STUNNING machine and whoever ends up buying it will be one *very* happy camper.
known imperfections:
- normal wear and tear on the lid and some shine on the keyboard
- one small scratch in the bottom LH corner of an otherwise stunningly clean and bright LG Philips WUXGA panel, noticeable on the light backgrounds if you look for it.
I'm currently running W7 Pro 64 on an Intel 730 SSD and this T61 outright flies. It has to be experienced to be believed. One would never think that it's a six-year-old laptop, all jokes aside.
While the machine sports a "safe" date code, it has been thoroughly tested (read: abused) with Freestone, Furmark, Prime 95 and has passed all the tests with flying colours.
The bottom line is that you'll have an *extremely* difficult time locating a better-spec'd 15.4" T61 with a similar date code. Hence this thing of beauty shall NOT be given away.
Upgrades and downgrades are available within reason.
PM or email me directly to tataslonATaol.com with any questions/concerns.

Sweet T61 ajkula.
If anyone considers buying this, know that he takes great care of his machines and is an excellent seller. If I didn't have my Precision M400 (henceforth known as my precious) I would be all over this deal. Do not pass it up.

From his previous listings with pictures, they speak for themselves. Always super clean and any imperfections are listed. I look at his postings and use them as a guideline for selling my own laptops.

i7 6700K, 32GB, NVIDIA GTX770, 256GB M.2 SSD + HD, 10

Thank you for the kind words, gents...
I'll let this one slide for another week before I withdraw it from sale, so let's consider this post a bump...
