X40 - what is it this connector? *LARGE PIC*

Hello everyone,
I bought on ebay an X 40 in very good conditions, but it is a bit too hotter for me, and I decide to open and check thermal paste.
Under the palm rest on the right of the mainboard I found one connector unplugged and "cutted"?
What is it? maybe biometric finger scan?

but I don't understand, I need to connect something there? The cable connected in this microphone connector are like cutted off, I need to use this connector to have a microphone on my X40?

I think the internal microphone was part of the palmrest in the X40. Take a look there.

Yes, the palmrest has a mic on the lower right IIRC, seems the previous owner cut the cable
