Presentation Director

#1 Post by warp4dennis » Fri Aug 15, 2014 4:26 am

When I installed the Video Driver for my T60, ATI said that I needed to also install the Presentation Director. Doing a search on the Internet there seems to be one out there with the version 4.07
but there are posts on the Internet that say 4.07 is not a good choice. Lenovo only lists a PD version 3.04 but I have also found a text file that seems to be from Lenovo and it speaks about at least ten releases of this Driver, the last one being version 4.07.
Does anyone know what Presentation Director I should be aiming for?

I've been using 4.08 on my T60 with ATI X1400 and it's been working well. It's also the latest version listed on Lenovo's page for T60.

You can grab it here:

Thank you for the encouragement. But I'm groping around in the 'dark' and don't know if I've done everything correctly. Control Panel says that it's installed, however when I press Fn + F7 nothing seems to happen. But then, I don't know what I should be looking for.
Have I, perhaps, left out a step and for that reason nothing happens?

You may also need the Hotkey utility.

What works for me most of the time (on XP at least), is downloading System Update, and letting it look for all the needed/optional driver/software packages, then I choose what I want to install.
