New Keyboard - Where to find???

#1 Post by Rockrz » Sun Aug 17, 2014 11:02 pm

I'm helping someone with their T420 (Product ID: 41786VU) and it has a few keyboard buttons that stick badly so I'm offering to get them a new keyboard.

Any idea where I can buy a new keyboard for a T420? I'd kinda like to go ahead and buy a new one so I know what I'll have as opposed to getting a used one and rolling the dice.

AND... whilst I'm at it... can one replace a non back-lit keyboard with a back-lit keyboard in this situation?
I figured if it were possible to do this, I may as well throw a few extra bucks at this project.

Any ideas on where to buy would be greatly appreciated. :thumbs-UP:

There are 3 keyboards (US English) for a T410 or T420, incl. submodels i and s:
45N2071 (Alps), 45N2141 (Chicony), 45N2211 (NMB).
Place a WTB in our Marketforum or check eBay.

AFAIK there's no backlit version for these series.

Yeah, I ordered one off of eBay so hopefully it will work right and fight properly.
