Can I replace the hard drive in USB 3.0 Secure Hard Drive?

I'm thinking of using a ThinkPad USB 3.0 Secure Hard Drive with a high capacity drive of my choice, as a secure backup drive --> link

How easy it is to replace the drive itself? Will the encryption work with just any drive?
