here to sell one of my trusty Thinkpads: http://i.imgur.com/XidA7rD.jpg
T61 14'' widescreen with Nvidia NVS 140M - produced on date 08/08 therefore with GOOD Nvidia chip : -)

It works great, and if you undervolt and use TPFanControl wisely, the temperature never goes over 75°C even under full CPU and GPU load (and in this house it's about 25-30°C room temperature in summer).
specifications:
CPU: T9500 - 2.6Ghz, you can easily set it to 2.8Ghz on Windows in dual-IDA mode. undervolted it runs super stable at 1.0750V @ 2.8Ghz.
GPU: Nvidia NVS 140M 128MB - produced on 08/08!
WIFI: upgraded to intel 6200ABGN - runs cooler : -)
SSD: OCZ Agility3 128GB - runs at SATA II thanks to Middleton BIOS - ~190MB/s sequential read, ~100MB/s sequential write in benchmarks.
Hard Disk: (in ultrabay) Fujitsu 320GB 5400RPM - ~60MB/s in benchmarks
DVD/CDRW: original ultrabay DVD/CDRW drive - you can swap it with the hard disk as needed.
RAM: 4GB of good Samsung DDR2 6400.
BIOS: Middleton BIOS installed - allows SATA II, Dual-IDA, removes limitation on the wifi card model.
SCREEN: tft 1440x900
Battery: 6-cell - not great, last time I used I think it lasted about 30 minutes.. HWMonitor reports 15% wear level.
Power Adapter: 90W original Lenovo
defects:
- a small crack in the keyboard bezel: http://i.imgur.com/NYJLbvR.jpg does not affect solidity.
- usual scuffs and marks, but nothing that I would call major..
- the upper center area of the screen appear to produce slightly clearer image http://i.imgur.com/yGLxEFD.jpg mostly it's only visible on black background, and even then, only at a certain angle. http://i.imgur.com/pKunrB1.jpg I don't know what it is about, it's always been like this and personally I never really notice it...
also:
- I cleaned it, dusted the vents, replaced the fan with a new one, and repasted CPU and GPU with Arctic MX-2 thermal paste about two weeks ago (the old fan was starting to be noisy).
- About a year ago, in quest for the best possible cooling I made a modification to the heatsink, soldering four small heatsinks under the left keyboard bezel, where the left speaker was: http://i.imgur.com/fr07bGa.jpg so now you only have the right speaker, but it's about 1-3 degrees cooler at idle : -) [yep, I was actually hoping to gain more! ] Also I attached a home-made heatsink to the 128MB Video RAM chip. (you can see it at the center of the picture, the heatsink is made with a 10 Eurocent coin -mixture of 89% copper, 5% aluminium- and a copper fin from an old cpu heatsink) I used Arctic Silver Epoxy, therefore it's not removable.
price: 250 Euros+shipping. if you dont want the SSD we can make it 200 Euros+shipping, and I can add a 80GB hard disk. (altough I really recommend to run it with an SSD!)
- the modem card I removed it to improve air circulation, but I can send it to you just in case.

Re: FS: T61 Nvidia 08/08
price lowered again...
also I'm open to offers
[also... there is a new modified BIOS for this model that undervolts the GPU to 0.9V via BIOS... which makes it run super cool! I tried it and temps never go over ~65C under full load! see this post for info: https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/T61-and-pr ... -p/1721929 ]
