Mirrored drivers of older machines, questions about...

Legacy ThinkPad model driver and other support files will be mirrored here on thinkpads.com.
55 GB of files are being uploaded now.
More about this when support files are made available.

i have some questions...


will there be a special section on this board with a listing of all the older machines which aren't anymore listed on the lenove driver site now and in the future? For now some could be found at..for example for the 600x http://support1.lenovo.com/en_US/resear ... D=HT072411 and a matrix of all available drivers can be found at http://support1.lenovo.com/en_US/resear ... PAD-MATRIX

Will there be all the drivers once listed at the servers of ibm/ lenovo, even of the real old machines, such as transnote and 701....?

Or how this will be realized?

Each Thinkpad-type will link to a page with a list of all available drivers for that name, (very similar to Lenovo BEFORE their stupid reorg ).

thanx a lot for this info,

this will be very useful.....since drivers of this early time of thinkpad will get hard to find.....and still such good oldies are in use...in several ways.

Now i will be able to imagine how this will going to be or look like...

I hope this will happen soon....because this would help prevent a lot of wasted time in searching.

the link of the drivers for the older models, where did it go? I couldn't hardly find it anymore on the main site here....


And this is just a useful tool someone in the german forum has programmed....you will be able to find out the specifications of an thinkpad model...for example for the 7666-C46....http://sm.krelay.de/tp/index.php

If you like to know the further informations of an model you purchased....just give it a try!
