It's just a photo artifact.

Cheap camera with a rolling shutter (like in a cell phone) + laptop backlight PWM frequency = stripes on a final picture

That screen is probably (99.999 %) OK.

Dunno if LEDs damage like that, when there is a vertical line, it usually consists of 1-4 rows of dead pixels and wouldn't have a repeating pattern like that.

Damages like that can be fixed by applying pressure to the sides of the screen, but it seems its just the camera in this photo.
