My X301

#1 Post by JaneL » Wed Sep 17, 2014 9:22 pm

Is dead...

At first, I thought it was the SSD, but I can't even get into the BIOS. :(

My condolences.

I'm certain that our mutual friends can come up with a replacement planar for your baby.

Good luck.

So sorry to hear. Were you tempting fate when you said a mere 24 hours ago how rugged your X301 is.

I have some new 1.4 motherboards if you are interested.

Send a PM.

Sorry to hear about the X301 JaneL! Have you already tried the old button pressing trick yet?

My X301 died too once. It didn't even get into the BIOS. I revived it by playing around with the button trick, the RAM modules and the BIOS battery. May not sound very helpful but what I'm trying to say is don't give up. My X1 also died for about 4 weeks but magically started to work again after that. So just give it a bit of time.

Sad to hear about the early demise.

My daughter really likes her X301 in college.
So far it has survived a fair amount of (not intentional) abuse...
