My ThinkPad T410 screen dark when I open full black picture

I bought a used Thinkpad T410, before buying, I had tested carefully.one day later, when I open a full black picture or i open WMP in fullscreen mode(black too), it come dark and then about 7s-10s it bright.sometimes I am browsing internet, it come dark.so whether it hardware or software problem? and tell me how to resolve.thank you, and sorry because my english is bad

my best guess is hardware.. but it is only a guess from what you have said..

Maybe you can return the machine?

You might also check your power settings and see if screen dimming is turned on.

Does ThinkPad have Ambient Light Sensor?If it has ALS, so how do I turn ALS off?
