FOUND: A30p/A31p UXGA IPS LCD, FRU 05K9967
After having absolutely zero luck with feebay purchases of this nature, I'm posting this ad again...
The screen in question must be ID Tech/DBU IAUX14S panel, with the corresponding FRU 05K9967. Not interested in any other panels.
I expect the screen to be reasonably bright, with no red/pink hue on cold boot. No scratches, pressure marks or dust specs please. A couple of dead pixels is perfectly OK.
Willing to pay a reasonable price for a panel that meets all the above requirements.
PM or email me directly to tataslonATaol.com with any questions/concerns/offers.

The fun old parts are drying up. Now it's all about buying current gen and selling off the previous gen!

No luck here either.
The panel comes from a parts A31 from eBay that had seen better days.
Had a dim backlight, replaced it with a compatible but thinner backlight.
Upon booting it up, I seen that it was in bad shape.
It has dust and white spots, basically a spare til a better one arrives.
I briefly glanced at it now, the numbers are matching on the panel but the condition is below what you are asking.
Hence the silence.

Out of curiosity, is it possible to use *6*, say a T60 panel, on an A31p, provided it is one with a 1600x1200 resolution?
It would be nice if so, because then those BoeHydis modded panels would be an option.

Yes. Some finagling with the LCD cable would be required due to connection in different spots on these panels, but it's absolutely doable.PowerPC wrote:Out of curiosity, is it possible to use *6*, say a T60 panel, on an A31p, provided it is one with a 1600x1200 resolution?
To be perfectly honest, I prefer the original DBU/IDTech UXGA FlexView LCD to any other LCD I've ever seen, including Hydis. It would be nice if so, because then those BoeHydis modded panels would be an option.

Probably, but those are already scarce and the idea here is to unify parts across my A31p and my T60. One panel type for all, then some hoarding. I will look for information on the necessary modifications, thank you.ajkula66 wrote:To be perfectly honest, I prefer the original DBU/IDTech UXGA FlexView LCD to any other LCD I've ever seen, including Hydis.
