T42 vs. T43

#1 Post by basilio » Tue May 24, 2005 10:30 am

I read many posts. I got T42 2378FVU and am returning it due to dead pixel in the middle of LCD.

Now I really wonder if T43 is really noisy. Some users reported it's noisy. However, it seems to me that some other T43 users do not complain about that.

Definitely, the performance of T43 will be better than T42 because of new things..

If you got T43 recently, could you give comments on noise ... ?

My T43 266846u is a little bit noisy. But compared with the Emaches, it is very quiet. I use it in the Library, the T43 is noisy for you, but don't disturb neighbor. In contrast, the Emachines will help you clear your neighbor off.

Well.. That means it's not that so bad. In the library, it's very silent usually :D . Probably it would be fine in most circumstances..

I'm now considering T42 2373m3u (I didn't know this has 7200rpm hdd) or T43 266875u..

My preference is still T42, but the price of T43 becomes more attractive, I think.

Thank you for your reply..

i don't know maybe you not running it on adaptive mode.
you won't hear mine at the library . and if you not using WiFi then there no way you will hear it anyware . unless u put your ear on the keyboard .
but yes , the fan is ON almost all the time. And it's probably running on higher RPM then the T42 (- from other that compared them.)

I realized that t42 2378fvu's fan was always on at lower rpm. I couldn't hear before I get close to the keyboard.. It was very silent to me.

Now, I have to decide..
