Intermediate brightness levels..?

#1 Post by goji » Mon Oct 20, 2014 6:25 pm

Hello, i find the brightness levels not being progressive enough.. Clearly : Lv10 is too low but Lv11 is too high for me at home. So is there an app or something else that would allow be to reset each preset..?

Try Windows Mobility Center, its located in your control panel. I found that when changing the display brightness with the Lenovo hard key's (on the keyboard) its jumping "steps". When changing display brightness with the Windows Mobility Center its changes brightness without steps. Maybe it has a different brightness at level 10 and 11 as you describe? It does not cost you anything to try as this utility is part of windows 7...

Unfortunately it doesn't work, it jumps from 65 to 70, from 70 to 75, etc..

Strange...on my computer the brightness in the windows mobility center goes from 0 to 15 and does not jump any steps. Same range as the lenovo hard keys but these are jumping numbers.

Maybe you could try fiddling with the nVidia Control Panel to make the screen just a bit dimmer overall. Than you could use level 11 brightness.
