#1 Post by morgan80 » Mon Oct 27, 2014 1:52 pm

Hello, i have a Ibm Thinkpad T500. i need help identifying one motherboard component. The component is an integrated circuit below the lcd connector, there are 4 in that area making a square and covered by tape.Which component is that? it has 3connections one side and 2 on the other.

Thank you for your help, best regards.

Admin edit: Changed image to link. Please reduce the pixel dimensions to something around 400x300 as the extra white space is unnecessary.
2nd admin edit: Never mind. Since the original link caused some popup ads to appear, I made a copy of the original image, shrunk it and put it on my own site.

Welcome to thinkpads.com!

5 legged ICs could be a transistor. Some more information is needed like any part number that might be on the device(s), the motherboard part name printed near the device(s) (Q34, U11, etc.) or a small (~50KB) photo.
