I've got a G560 (with Windows 7, P6200, 4GB ram) that my daughter uses, but complains that it's too slow.
I'm looking to do some upgrades (disk and RAM) to speed things up a bit.
Considering swapping the factory spinning disk with an SSD drive.
Before I do that, I need to have some mechanism to reinstall Windows 7 and all the Lenovo drivers and such.
It looks like "OneKey Recovery" is the way to create bootable recovery DVDs that could be used to rebuild the computer from scratch with a fresh hard drive. Is that true? Is there any way to get it to build the recovery set onto a USB drive instead of 3 DVDs (or many, many CDs)?

Re: G560 Hard Drive Upgrade?
Welcome to the forum.
If you want to install more RAM, you'll need to make sure that your OS (operating system) is 64-bit.
The standard 32-bit will not recognize more than the current 4GB.
BTW, 4GB RAM is usually enough, unless you do very intensive image-treatments.
With the help of programs like Acronis TrueImage or Clonezilla, you can clone your current HD onto the new HD or SSD.
No need to reinstall (but that would be so much better...)

Well, I'm thinking we'll get some speedup just by starting over with a fresh Windoze install.
And yes, it's a 64-bit system (hardware and Win 7 64-bit).
I'll look into CloneZilla. I seem to recall looking into it for something else some time ago, but had some trouble with it. Don't remember the details. Should give it another look.
