Sigh, still no buttons for the touchpad. In my view, the buttonless trackpoint works nearly as well as the older ones with buttons. The clickpad on the current T series is horrendous; it's the touchpad that really needs its buttons back.

Another thing they should do is shrink the touchpad and have it sit lower like on the T400 models and older. Having the touchpad level with the palmrest and having it large makes it very easy for your palm to touch it and inadvertently move the cursor. Of course, you could disable the touchpad and only use the trackpoint (which is what I do), but this will not work for those who use it instead of the trackpoint.
Current Thinkpads: W530 (functional classic keyboard mod), X301, T61, T60, T43, T23, 600X, 770
Other: mk5 Toughbook cf-19, mk1 Toughbook cf-53

This problem was apparent for me when I used the X130e and occasionally on my X300.
Testing a T410 right now, I've come across it sometimes but its not horrendous.

The touchpad on the X series shouldn't be there in the first place honestly. So as far as I'm concerned this could be one of the best thinkpads in recent history.

If the image is real it means everything is wrong again :(

- useless keyboard layout
- no status LED indicators
- poo color instead of black one
ThinkPad (1992 - 2012): R51, X31, X220, Tablet 8

In person the new color is more like a very dark grey. The early ThinkPads weren't exactly jet black either. I have a 750cs, and I would not describe the exterior case as black... more like, uh, a very dark grey.i
