SOLD Thanks for looking!
I have for sale a 14" full screen T61 laptop with a Penryn native motherboard and the lid swapped from another 14" T61 to upgrade the screen from XGA to SXGA+ (1400x1050). The CPU has been upgraded to the highest processor that was originally available on the T61, a T9500 Core 2 Duo at 2.6Ghz so you won't have to worry about cooling issues. It has an Intel GPU, not as powerful as the discrete Nvidia option but if you've read this far you probably know why that may be a good thing. It has 8GB of DDR2 RAM and has the Middleton BIOS installed to utilize that much RAM and also allow any wireless card, currently installed is an Intel Ultimate-N 6300 card. The laptop is in great physical condition with minimal wear and zero shine on the keyboard and palmrest, you'll be hard pressed to find one in better condition. Also the motherboard is an excellent candidate for a T60/T61 frankenpad build. I am including a 250GB hard drive with genuine
Windows 7 Professional SP1 installed on it. I am asking for $250 OBO shipped to anywhere in the continental US and pictures are available upon request. Let me know if you have any questions, thanks for looking and have a great day.

Re: FS: Penryn T61 14", T9500, 8GB RAM, Intel GPU, SXGA+
Where was this when I was hunting for my T61!? Getting everything together cost me a little less than this sale, and I only got 4GB RAM out of it. Why is 8GB DDR2 so expensive nowadays!? Also, to anyone looking for a native Penryn board, have fun.
Good luck with sale OP.

Thanks and I agree, 8GB of DDR2 RAM is obscenely overpriced now. I figure most computers that took DDR2 had little use for that much RAM.
