T510 Driver for Wireless

#1 Post by junglejim » Mon Dec 29, 2014 9:08 pm

I had to re-install Win 7 from Scratch. There were no Wireless or LAN Adapters identified/present after the install. The prior to re-nstall Devices snapshot I took did indicate the presence of the following Adapters:
"Intel Centrino Advanced N6200 AGN"
and
"Intel 82577LM Gigabit Network Connection"

Subsequently, I downloaded and installed all the possible Wireless drivers from the Lenovo site, however none of these activates the Wireless. Since I don't have my original receipt, Lenovo wont provide support.

Any assistance/suggestions to assist in finding the proper Driver(s) would be most appreciated!

Thanks
Jim

Welcome to the forum!

Two things you could try:

a) Go into C>Drivers>Win and locate the file called "wlanint" or something along those lines, then run the setup from there.

b) Try running Windows Update and see whether it will locate a driver for you.

Good luck.

George

I tried the Setup from the Wlanint directory and it re-installed(repaired) however this made no difference.

Re: Windows Update, since I have no connectivity either Wired or Wireless, this is not possible.

Under System/Devices/Network there are only Bluetooth Adapters shown. Not sure what else I can try...

Apologies, I was under the impression that the wired LAN was functional.

Try updating the LAN driver by using the Device Manager and navigating it towards the "Ethernet" (I presume) folder under C>Drivers>Win

Good luck.

Using another PC/laptop, download these onto a USB stick, insert it in your T510, then install them:

Hello RealBlackStuff

You knocked it out of the park!!! It told me I had a newer version, so I went to Programs and Uninstalled the previous version of "Intel Proset/Wirless Wifi Software", then installed the software at the wifi link you provided below and I am good to go!!!

Any Idea why the newer version would not work???

Kudos/Thanks(many)
Jim
