Need help to restat T420 after pressing go to defaults

#1 Post by tomjrc » Mon Jan 05, 2015 6:23 pm

HI! I guess I really goofed again! My hot keys were not working and after downloading the old software it didn,t work either.SO, i went in to Bios and thought if I put computer back to default it could help. Well now I can,t even get it to boot. blue window comes up and offers a couple of solutions ,like shut down and start again. (no help) start again in 8.1 ( no help) The blue screen now says your PC did not start correctly. options are to start (no help) advanced options IT says: Insert your windows installation or recovery media to continue. I do not have any. ANY Help will be truly appreciated

Get into BIOS, locate the Serial ATA controller setting and change it to the other option. For example, if it's currently set to AHCI, change it to Compatibility. If it's currently Compatibility, change it to AHCI. Save changes, re-boot.
