Max CPU upgrade for Thinkpad R40 (no letters)?

#1 Post by Martin Cracauer » Thu May 26, 2005 2:26 pm

Hi,

what is the fastest Pentium-M I can put into a R40?

I have a Pentium-M 1.3 GHz right now. It's a straight R40, no letters.

I assume you need to know the revision of the Thinkpad, if so how do I figure that out?

Thanks
Martin

Hello Martin,
At the bottom of the laptop, if you turn it over, will be a model no, eg 2681-HSG or 2762-*** or something similar....

Can you report it here?
