New X220 keyboard middle and right click difficulty

#1 Post by hyde » Sat Jan 10, 2015 5:35 pm

I just swapped my worn keyboard with a new one, and now the middle and right click of trackpoint setup is not registering.
It's not hard to click but it's randomly not clicking. If I tap 10 times with same force maybe 4 of them register.
Middle button requires a very hard press.

I just wanted to see if this is a known issue or if it will eventually get better, or should I just swap back to old one and buy a new replacement? I spend over 10 hours and I love trackpoint & buttons.

There should be no problems. If you swap back in the old keyboard and the buttons work flawlessly then the issue is most likely your replacement.

It's really making me regret swapping the keyboard, as much as I love the new track point, beautifully textured keys and all other aspects of a new keyboard on my laptop, middle button sensitivity (or lack of) is making it difficult for me to work.
I can hear it click but it requires further pressure to activate.

Will swap back to old keyboard and order another one.
Thanks EmeraldGirl.
