T60 14.1 and 15.4 have same planar?

I'm trying to find decent planar replacement for my dead one in T60 14.1 within ATI x1400 GPU.
Read somewhere that when disassembling planar from the chassis, it become faulty ( in eBay many planar sell disassmbled ), is it true? Can I buy used only planar ?

Can I buy planar from 15.4 models?

You can buy it but it's not going to fit. The board from a standard 15" model will, but not from a widescreen one.

I presume you mean V5200. The answer is: none.

The motherboard should be fine, so long as didn't get any static discharge during/after removal, which I'd think isn't easy to do anyways.

I've laid motherboards on my couch and bed when working on them. Still work fine.

Planars don't become faulty just because of disassembling them, only if they are treated inappropriately. Personally i have exclusively and only recycled used planars, and all are still fine, even after years.

Guess it all boils down to proper handling of electronic parts and, of course, buying from a reputable seller. Said that, I can only recommend TuuS for any deal. As also lots of other people will agree, you can't go wrong with his offers.
