Help: Dark shadows in my LCD screen.

#1 Post by rca888 » Fri Jan 30, 2015 6:00 pm

Hi there,

I just purchased another QXGA screen for my T61 and after installation I noticed numerous dark markings that appears to be behind the mouse cursor. Have you guys seen this before and is this something that's correctable? Please help! Thanks!

Welcome to the forum!

Your first picture shows dust specs that are stuck between the layers of the LCD. Not fixable.

Your second picture can be interpreted as a couple of different faults, but none of them is fixable.

Return the panel for a refund. Yesterday.

Good luck.

Thank you so very much for being so prompt! I was hoping I could fix the problems. I thought it could have been pressure spots. Oh well, I'll contact the seller and let him know. Much thanks again!

Out of sheer curiosity on my end, where did you get the panel from? Feebay, taobao, aliexpress?
