[SOLVED] Trying to find high capacity 1.8" SSD for my T410s

#1 Post by anthony » Sat Jan 31, 2015 4:26 pm

I can find 256GB, but I'd like 1T or 500GB at a minimum. All I can find with that capacity are 2.5" drives. Trying to keep my T410s as long as possible, but storage capacity has become a huge deal. Thanks for any ideas/suggestions...

Alternatively, replace your optical drive with an internal SATA HD-adapter and put in a 1TB HD.
And if you really need one, buy an external USB CD/DVD drive, which you can use on any machine...

You can also use a mSATA to 1.8" SATA adapter. There are many mSATA drives in the 0.5TB format, and some even in 1TB.

OMG! That Intel drive is almost $1000. It's times like this that make me wish my Mom had married for money.. Think I'll look towards some of the other suggestions... Thanks all... SSDH?
