On Screen Display doesn't work after sleep mode

Greetings,

I am facing an issue with the on screen display. It stops working after the laptop is resumed from sleep mode.
More specifically, the sound volume and screen brightness indicators don't work.
I have the latest bios and on screen display drivers installed.

This is happening since an update somewhere around end of September. So it keeps repeating progressively during subsequently updates in all this period

Any suggestions are more than welcome.
