M50 8189 thnkcentre pov switch?

i am replacing the mother board 19R2563 in a thinkcenter m50 8189 desktop...good ole thing ...caps are swollen and im afraid of fire hazard...anyways there's 2 rev of 19R2563 a 2.7 and a 2.8 ...
not much info , but a mention of a pov (daughter) switch, some kind of rf chip interlock....my question is does it have to be on there, from what i read you can't move it to a new board, i guess,.. i dont need it...can i run the new board without it, takes same power switch, i checked...any info would help...ive searched alot for it....thanks,Michael
