x60s, wireless card removed -- will palmrest break?

Hi! I feel kind of silly to ask this, but:
I'm thinking of turning my X60s into an internet-less machine for writing.
So I would remove the wireless card. And use an usb wifi adapter for occasional networking needs.

But:
will the palm rest resist to the pressure of my palms (wow! when there's no wifi card supporting it from below? Or will I probably break the plastic sooner or later?

It will be OK, the wireless card provides no support for the palm rest.
