I tend to be impressed not by outstanding engineering, but rather engineering that fits a niche, perfectly.
Bose first generation noise canceling headset gets a thumbs up.
The sprayer hose that comes out of the back of your kitchen sink, gets a thumbs up.
Underfloor heating gets 2 thumbs up
SkullCandy in ear headphones (stupid name, sound great)
This thing above, gets a thumbs up!
So I upgraded my phone, and cashed in about a billion loyalty points to get a really nice one. With more than 32 gigs of storage I placed 400 or 500 of my favorite tunes on board. I long ago gave up on over the air programing and have been living with XM Radio for a few years now. Still with 300 or so stations I often can not find anything I want to listen to. Thats where this little jewel come in. The Pioneer Im running, as well as a 6 disc CD player and XM has an Auxiliary input. I push a button on it, then one on the phone, and I listen to songs that I want to listen too, I chose all of them!
It could also be plugged into your home stereo or computer just as easy.
Im impressed.

Re: Im impressed
I'm contemplating getting some sort of aux jack bluetooth module so I wouldn't have to worry about the cord getting in the way of me shifting gears... Nice link.
I like the stations XM Radio has to offer, but after about ten seconds in of a Top 40, I noticed the squelching from the poor audio bit-rate reminds me of the 'ol dial up era of downloading small sized music files from Napster.
Im okay the tunes that's saved on my SD card or stream Digitally Imported from my phone.

This thing did the trick for me. The wiring was a little cumbersome, but that is my case. The Pioneer was cutting edge once upon a time, and is somewhat dated now but works perfect!
