TP770 recovery gone awry

#1 Post by bulldog » Sun May 29, 2005 6:02 pm

Ihave a recovery CD that was given to me for both a 770 and the 770X. I have tried to use both CD's to recover a 770Z. The 770 disk (with the boot disk) is stuck in a loop and keeps rebooting. The 770X disk (all on the CD) gives me an error saying it cannot expand one of the images.

For the 770 disk with boot disk: Can my using the DVD as the recovery drive be making the recovery process stay in the loop?

Is there another recovery CD that anyone is aware of that is available for purchase somewhere for these machines? :(

There's a command you need to run on the boot disk, "resetc". I think you can get to a command prompt by booting to the diskette and pressing f5. The resetc command is either in the root directory, or the a:\bin directory -- it's been a while. =/
