I've tried seven or eight times to update my one Windows 10 T60p to this month's build 10041.
It has consistently failed, given a vaguely-defined error number (don't have it in front of me) that a search engine reveals to be a sporadic problem over the years with various Windows releases. This is from both the normal downloaded version and also upon burning an iso file onto a DVD.
I'm curious whether anyone has gotten this new version to work on a T60 (or any Thinkpad). I had no problems on a different (non-Thinkpad) computer, but this is a somewhat-unexpected issue.

Re: Latest (10041) Pre-Release on T60 - Anyone Got It to Install?
Well, I I'll answer my own question (sort of).
A couple hours after I posted this, Microsoft released another build, 10049. I tried it, as it couldn't be any worse than 10041.
It almost installed twice - the machine overheated and shut down, reverting to the old version. (I've been having bad heat issues on both of my T60Ps.) But it was clearly doing better than 10041.
So I borrowed a T60, figuring correctly that my T60p disk would work without incident. On this machine, the new build installed without incident. As an aside, it was nice seeing the machine running without the fan constantly blowing torrid air out the side, and generally having the fan not running at all.
I put the disk back into my T60p, and it came up as expected.
So whatever the original issue may have been, it appears to be corrected with today's build.

Re: Latest (10041) Pre-Release on T60 - Anyone Got It to Install?
I have installed all the preview builds on T60 without incident. The upgrade to 10041 did not go well, so I managed to get the .iso file for a fresh install instead. And as you may see in my thread "T60" here, it is now fairly successful.
