I need an original Pre-Middleton Bios for a r61i model 77328AU 14 inch please

Hi.
I flashed my bios with the Middleton ctrl / function key swap feature and through numerous attempts to go back to a earlier bios version to undo this I am coming up short I'm afraid.

I was wondering if someone still has a earlier bios version (original) that was sent out with the r61i 14 inch screen model that I can download and re-flash my r61i with.

I made this mistake when I was reading about bios flashing with Middleton 2.29 version. For some reason I was thinking the ctrl / fn swap was to prevent a ctrl / function key swap from happening rather then swapping them.

My brain and it's thoughts are deceiving at times - like having dyslexia in the brain,,,, I push through with something with my first impression and then afterword read the fine print. AHHH, humbled again. Thanks everyone.

There's a newer official Lenovo 2.30/1.08 BIOS.
Check the Drivers link at the top of this page and go for the bootable CD BIOS.

Thank you for you support RealBlackStuff. I already tried to flash the bios with version 2.30 off the Lenovo web site but this did not return the function and ctrl keys back to there original key mapping. Thanks any ways.

Still looking for a earlier BIOS version that was shipped with the R61i , 14 inch screen, if anyone can help.

I have found archive.org to be invaluable when it comes to old downloads. https://web.archive.org/web/20080319095 ... 67856#bios Good luck!!

Thank you mcintyrerj, I'll give it look see.

The site links for the bios download didn't work but I was able to use the file name and copy it for another google search and found this web site listed below that still had the bios version 2.10 available to download.

I found many of the older BIOS's for the R61 and possibly for other thinkpad models. The only problem is it this web site is in German, Thinkpad forum in German. The link below is for this web site.
