I wouldn't really trust windows experience index in giving any meaningful result.
Try something like furmark, that should give you FPS.

Re: T410s with Nvidia graphics vs. T41O with integrated graphics
How about this. I just want to know if I could play CS:GO or Insurgency on my T410s with NVS3100M. Can someone tell me if it uses dual integrated graphics and (NSV3100M) discrete graphics or is it one or the other? Here is the review of the NVS3100M from benchmarks. Obviously its shows it's age. I don't intend on playing video games on my Thinkpad. I simply enjoy testing computers.

http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Len ... 598.0.html
http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-Qua ... 738.0.html
according to those 2 links, this laptop does have Nvidia Optimus, to switch graphics card to reduce consumed power and heat when needed.
That NVS3100M should be able to play games from around 2007~2009, but with moderate~low settings.
Because of the laptop thin design, stressing the CPU and GFX for extended period of time may result in overheating and throttling, which may affect gaming performance, a good thermal paste may help a bit.

Re: T410s with Nvidia graphics vs. T41O with integrated graphics
I have searched forum for topics like "T410 vs T410s" and found nothing. And i think this topic is much close to my question. I have normal T410 (without s) 2522-G32. I've got it for thinkpad collection, but may be someday it becomes dalydriver. I have little know about T410s. Before this i thought s-models it is like "lite" T410 models - like X61s and X61. Then i have red HMM and found some interesting things in T410s
- soldered to mainboard CPU
- bottom attachable battery (like in X30x) - no extended batter, but it can accept bay battery
- less USB ports
- cardreader or expresscard but not both
- 1.8" mini SATA HDD/SSD, but normal (9.5mm ultrabay slim)
+ if it have nvidia it have 512Mb VRAM (no 256MB models?)
But main questions:
- is T410s thinner than T410?
- how about weight comparison (without battery)?
- how about battery life 6cell T410s vs 6cell T410 vs 9cell T410?
- what is better for you T410 or T410s and why?

HMM states that there are 2 different types of nvidia mainboards was in T410s - with "optimus" and with "switchable graphics". In MTM database i haven't found any words for optimus or switchable graphics. Is there any means to get optimus or switchable graphics on normal T410 (i haven't found any in BIOS settings).hhhd1 wrote: according to those 2 links, this laptop does have Nvidia Optimus

Re: T410s with Nvidia graphics vs. T410 with integrated graphics
The T410 is built like a tank. The T410s is a much lighter and thinner model. It looks far different than the T410 but considering all Thinkpads by design appears a uniform way. People who do not have Thinkpads would not notice much of a difference. Those who do have thinkpads would say that it is a night and day difference.
Things like 1.8" drives on 410s and 7mm 2.5" drives on the 420s model. The SSD drives really do use less energy than magnetic HDD's which extends battery life. It has a different battery, 2 DIMM slots under the laptop in the same compartment vs. one under the keyboard in the T410. A different battery cover than the T410 and no need for rails on the T410s model to put the hard drive in. Display port and Esata port in the back of the laptop next to the power chord and a USB port.
I think the 1440x900 screen is standard on the T410s model and fingerprint readers seem to be on at least 80% or more of the T410s models. The fingerprint reader on the T410 model is just to the right of the Trackpad instead of the traditional location to the far right side of palm rest.
They use the same processors both in CPU's and GPU's.
This T410s I am typing on right now has 8GB of ram and the Nvidia graphics.

Re: T410s with Nvidia graphics vs. T410 with integrated graphics
Yes i have read NBCheck reviews for T410s and 2 for T410 new and old.Hans Gruber wrote:The T410 is built like a tank. The T410s is a much lighter and thinner model.
And have found out some hints
- T410 ~ 33% heavier than T410s
- 6cell battery in T410s weaker then 6cell from T410 (44Wh vs 57Wh in T410), 9cell T410 battery can do even more
- LCD in T410s is brighter but have BAD contrast ratio (may be this is only for touchscreen T410s models)
- some T410 can have nvidia Optimus like T410s
So the last questions to Hans Gruber:
- how you estimate T410 and T410s screens (contrast, pleasure)
- how thinner T410s than T410 (you can measure them both with closed lids or make a photo)
PS
I don't understand why lenovo make T4x0s series along with T4x0 series. Yes it is like ultrabook in 14" body (after closing X30x line). But IMHO real Thinkpad ultrabook of that era was X30x.

I created a slide show of the T410 and T410s.

I like both the T410 and T410s. I prefer the T410s for travel and the T410 for desk work. I have all 1440x900 screens and I would say the T410 has a slightly better image than the T410s. You assessment of the T410s is accurate regarding the T410s being a bit brighter image. The contrast is better on the T410.
I view the T410 as a Panzer tank. It's like they say about a Mercedes Benz, it's built like a tank. I would compare the T410s to the Apple Powerbook G4 (2001) that was 1" thick with a Titanium case. Notice the hinges on the T410 and the T410s. Different in size but both very sturdy hinges. You can see in the images I provided the tank design style of the T410.
